The creation of the Deretil Group arises from the expansion that Deretil, SA began by the end of 2008, leading its industrial potential towards new products and markets. Deretil Agronutritional, Deretil Nature and Deretil Vitatech came up of this diversification strategy.

Deretil Vitatech is established as an operational unit active in research, technological development and innovation, aimed at nutrition, cosmetic, agronutritional and pharmaceutical industries. We currently work on collaborative projects with universities and research centres, such as the University of Almeria or Fundación Tecnova. Financial support has been obtained for R&D from different public organization like the Andalusian Innovation Agency “IDEA”, the Andalusian Energy Agency and CDTI (Madrid), thanks to the strong commitment, which has always been shown with regard to innovation, research and development. Deretil Vitatech is part of the CIDAF Foundation (Center for Research and Development of Functional Food), which is located in the technological Life Sciences Park of Granada and specialized in the field of functional foods and nutraceuticals, in collaboration with other agronutritional companies.
Deretil Agronutritional is dedicated to the development, manufacture and commercialization of products for nutrition and plant protection, highlighting the FerroActiv® iron chelates, being one of the few iron chelates manufacturers in the world, whose products are present in international markets. The catalogue becomes complete with mixtures of trace elements (micronutrients) known as OligoActiv® and bioactivators or l-amino acids with the name of AminoActiv® and further formulations meant for Systemic Acquired Resistance called SarActiv®.
Currently a major research work is focused on the biological defense to collaborate just in the development of defense mechanism to provide farmers with pest controls through the use of extracts and micro-organisms. Deretil Agronutritional is part of the Spanish Association of Agronutritional Manufacturers (AEFA), association that aims to contribute in an effective way to the growth and expansion of the agricultural industry.
